Since 1996, WildAid has been working with governments, celebrities, media and other partners to reduce consumer demand for threatened wildlife products globally. In addition to reaching up to 1 billion people per week with celebrity-driven consumer messaging, WildAidworks behind the scenes in schools and colleges, with politicians and local communities to create a new generation of wildlife conservationists.
Working as much as possible through pro bono partnerships, WildAid is also undoubtedly among the most cost-effective campaigns in wildlife conservation - securing millions of dollars worth of free advertising space, celebrity endorsements and other services annually.
Regional results have included 78% of viewers in Taiwan reporting that they would never use endangered species products again, and 30% of viewers in Thailand reporting they had stopped eating shark fin soup as a result of our shark fin soup campaign.
