Since Darwin, the unique natural wonders of the Galapagos Archipelago have inspired and awed humanity. Due to the Islands` isolation and the confluence of four major ocean currents, the Galapagos Archipelago boasts an abundant and diverse array of unique species. Galapagos penguins, finches, tortoises, marine iguanas, flightless cormorants, among others have eked out a living on or near its rocky shores. The waters of the Galapagos Marine Reserve are also home to a variety of whales, dolphins, sea turtles, sharks among other migratory species. Today, the integrity of Galapagos ecosystems and their evolution are at a crossroads and we need your help to ensure they can withstand current pressures into the future.
