Diana Vinueza

Galapagos Project Manager

Diana Vinueza joins WildAid as the Galapagos Project Manager in April of 2013. Ms. Vinueza is a biologist by formation and holds a Masters in Coastal Resource Management with a specialty in Protected Areas Management. Diana has coordinated several coastal and protected areas projects in Ecuador; she has led environmental education initiatives with fishing communities and has extensive experience in the control of invasive species. Her past positions have included: 

    • Sub-regional Director for Chemonics
    • Project Coordinator at Ecobiotec
    • Director of the Interagency Coordinating Committe Management and Control of Intorduced Species (CIMEI) on Santa Cruz, Island, Galapagos
    • Environmental Educator and Communicator for the Untited Nations Global Environmental Facility (GEF) on Isabela Island, Galapagos
    • Project Coordinator for developing local ecotourism capacity of the Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve and its buffer zone
    • Marine Coordinator at Machalilla National Park
