Harrison Ford is an iconic movie star best known for his roles as the title character in the Indiana Jones series and as Han Solo in the original Star Wars trilogy. Ford has received nominations from the Academy Awards, Golden Globes and BAFTA. In 2000, Ford received the AFI Life Achievement Award and on June 2, 2003, he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Harrison Ford is a strong advocate for many environmental causes; he is vice-chair of Conservation International and appears in the documentary series Years of Living Dangerously, which highlights individuals affected by and seeking solutions to climate change.
